Wonderful news from England which brought-up some personalias. Some years ago I gave a lecture on British Birdwatching Fair about the status and history of Great Bustard in the Carpathian Basin, which wasn't about my expertise, but the purpose was to give a summary of the Hungarian researches, especially those results and articles which are not accessible in English. After the lecture I had a pleasant chat with project manager David Waters, giving addresses of important personals on Bustards here and there. It was the time when they just started the reintroduction to England, so I was very happy to read about their success today. Also enjoy some great pics about them, taken here in Hungary with Laci Novak, and a bit of a historical pix bellow them!

This last picture was taken by myself at the spring of 1999 in the heart of Hortobagy NP, and as far as I know - maybe I am wrong... - this is the first digiscoped birdimage in Hungary (1MP Canon Powrshot + Optolyth scope)
